In the back drop of the just concluded 5 day free medical outreach carried out by Hon. Victor Nwokolo at Central Hospital Agbor, residents of Ika federal constituency have lauded their representative at the National Assembly, for his robust representation.
LARGE TURNOUT AS HON. VICTOR NWOKOLO HOLDS THIRD MEDICAL OUTREACH
They appreciated him during the free medical outreach which saw no fewer than 2000 persons receiving medical attention for ailments of all kinds.
Starting the commendation, Mr. Ngozi Ajuebor a mother of three children who was operated for tumor said she is grateful to Hon. Nwokolo for the outreach, saying that she was charged # 300,000 3 years ago by other hospitals for the surgery which was done for her free of charge through the free medical outreach.
She noted that in the last three years, she had failed to do the operation due to non availability of funds.
Another constituent from Ekuku-Agbor, who was operated for abnormal growth on his jaw, commending Hon. Nwokolo said he has had the growth for over 10 years, and was charged #150, 000 for the operation, before the outreach where he was operated free of charge.
“It was operated free of charges, I only paid my transport down to the hospital. God has used Hon. Victor Nwokolo to help me, I appreciate him for this medical care he brought to help his people,” he asserted.
Mr. Emmanuel A. who was operated for a scrotal ailment, said on hearing of the free outreach, he availed himself to participate having been charged #40,000 at other hospitals.
He expressed gratitude to Hon Victor Nwokolo and the doctors on the “Move Africa Team”, saying that he never believed in free medical outreach until now.
Some other respondents who spoke to an Ika Weekly Newspaper reporter said the free medical care by the member representing Ika federal constituency at the National Assembly has demonstrated a balanced and all round empowerment scheme, as compared to others who only carry out vocational forms of empowerment.
They posited that they are happy with the outreach which was conducted in to five days, as against the first and second editions, which lasted for four days.
They further described Hon. Nwokolo as “a silent achiever who is concerned about the health of his constituents”, stating that they have not had it so good.
In addition, they charged other political office holders within Ika land to emulate Hon. Nwokolo by carrying out an all round empowerment.
