Prophet Joseph Igbodo, the Proprietor of St. Stephen’s Trust Widows Home, Agbor, in his usual act of benevolence, gave succor to the widows at Abavo, Ika South LGA of Delta State. The General Overseer of Divine Faith Evangelical Mission International and the Proprietor of Job Orphanage Home, both in Agbor, Prophet Joseph Igbodo, recently in company of his Pastors visited widows at Abavo. The widows numbering about Fifty Six, from the various quarters in the Kingdom, gathered at Udomi, Abavo for the visit.
In a brief exhortation, on the theme: “God cares for man”, Prophet Igbodo, taking his bible reading from the book of psalm 68:5; told the widows that God Almighty is a caring God who delights in making his children happy, emphasizing that God who created them is the husband of the widows, hence He is always with them, to protect and provide for them and their children.
Continuing, he informed them that God loves them and so they should obey Him. He said that God is the one that makes their homes, community, children, farmlands and their businesses to prosper. Speaking further, the Prophet of God charged them to be steadfast in serving God for He is a Holy God, urging them to do away with evil so that they will enjoy the goodness and mercies of God. He then he charged them not to do things that will make their children to abandon them.
He further admonished the witches among the widows to repent and surrender their lives completely to God, emphasizing that anybody who destroys others will not partake from the blessing of God; saying that when they do the right thing God will support them. He encouraged them to always pray for their children and Abavo community. He warned them to desist from visiting native doctors and occultist pastors; stressing that they should be very careful of the pastors they take photographs of their children to for prayers, emphasizing that if he as a prophet of God, fails to tell them the truth, God will not bless him.
He told them that the major reason why he came to visit them was for them to pray and share the word of God together. He also urged those that are pagans among them to should repent and look for a bible believing church to be attending.
While presenting the items to the widows, prophet Igbodo informed them that the items were provided by God, through spirited individuals and organizations. Items presented to the widows include; ten bags of rice, thirty two cartons of Indomie Noodle, six cartons of Biscuit, ten cartons of Bobo fruit juice, seventeen rolls of tissue paper, two big cartoons of cheese ball, seven big bags of female wares and shoes.
After the presentation, prophet Igbodo, assured the widows, that God who in His infinite mercies has provided them the food items, will continually bring more to them and in abundance. He encouraged them to always pray for him, the ministry and the people whom God is using to reach out to them.
Mrs. Angela Odeh on behalf of the widows thanked and appreciated Prophet Joseph Igbodo for giving them succor and affection. The widows thereafter had a prayer session for prophet Igbodo and his entourage.
