The General Overseer, Divine Faith Evangelical Mission, Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area, Prophet Igbodo, has said the grace of God upon his ministry is sufficient, saying that in his thirty (30) years in ministerial work, he has not buried any member of his church.
Prophet Igbodo said this when he hosted pastors at Ekuku-Agbor on Friday, January 29, 2021 at the auditorium of Divine Glory Resurrection Gospel Church, Ekuku-Agbor.
According to him, “On this special occasion, I have chosen to be with the pastors at Ekuku-Agbor to celebrate the New Year with them and most importantly to admonish them on the need to change their doctrine of service that does not glorify the name of God.
“I am thirty years old in the ministry and God has so blessed me that I began to imagine who I am that the Lord has found favour in me. The doctrine of grace I am enjoying is what I have come to share with you all.
“The secret of prosperity working in the vineyard of the God is nothing but remaining focus on the great commission and avoid all forms of distraction that lead the church to nowhere. All that God expects from us is to do greater work in evangelism both in the church, and nooks and crannies of the society to win souls for his kingdom”.
Continuing, Prophet Igbodo who is also the proprietor, Job Orphanage Home and St. Stephen Widows Home, all located in Agbor, advised that the church must remain committed and obedient to the great commission of reaching the whole world for Christ as it remains the heartbeat of God for this time.
He stated that some activities being put up by some churches today are mere distraction and a snare from the devil to distract them away from the things of eternal value. He added that millions of souls are rushing towards a lost eternity. He said; “Believers must therefore throw aside all flimsy excuses as there is no trouble too great, no humiliation too deep, no suffering too severe, no labour too hard, and no expense to much in saving souls. We must arise therefore, pray and do the work,” the cleric declared.
Prophet Igbodo asserted that opportunities for evangelism abound daily on the streets, hospitals, motor parks, bus stops, inside the bus or taxi, prisons, homes of neighbours, schools, market, urging the soul winner not to wait for a perfect opportunity as every situation is an opportunity.
He further urged the clerics to double their efforts in ministerial work, while reminding them of the scriptural verse that says; greater are the people that publish the name of God.
The clergy used the opportunity to condemn the act of pastors collecting money from other pastors before they can assist them to organize an outreach, which according to him is not scriptural but a wrong practice.
