The third term bid of Hon. Victor Nwokolo, member representing Ika Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, has received a major boost following an endorsement by Abavo Clan Union led by the president, Mr. Jonathan Agbejiagwe
They gave the endorsement during a courtesy call to Hon. Nwokolo at his residence in Boji-Boji on Sunday 22nd July 2018.
Informing the legislator on the purpose of their visit, the Public Relations Officer of the union, Mr. Charles Aigbe stated that “Awu people” have seen the antecedents of Hon. Nwokolo over time, and they are identifying with him as he seeks re-election, stressing that having done so much previously they are confident he will do more when re-elected.
The Union President, Mr. Jonathan Agbejiagwe, speaking on behalf of the delegation, appreciated Hon. Nwokolo for receiving the group which came in their numbers. He described Hon. Nwokolo as a silent achiever whose noiseless approach has brought lots of projects to Ika land, hence their massive support for him.
In his words, “Awu people have examined you and agreed that they know you, hence we have agreed to follow whom we know.
Looking at the relationship between Hon. Nwokolo and governor Okowa, we see a high level of loyalty, commitment amongst other things. Governor Okowa is our father, and Hon. Nwokolo sees the governor as his father, so nothing can come between us”.
“You are a silent performer, an achiever, a loyal man who is committed to the people having looked at these attributes of yours, Awu people decided to let you know today that we are solidly behind you, we will vote for you.”
He assured Hon. Nwokolo that the whole of Abavo Kingdom is behind him, urging him to continue in his good work.
Assuring Hon. Nwokolo of victory come 2019, he disclosed that the delegation made up of the 16 clans in Abavo including the Iyase of abavo, Chairmen of various quarters, Chiefs, youths, political class, vigilantes amongst others have unanimously endorsed him for continuity.
Responding, the Chairman Governing Council of Ogwashi-Uku Polytechnic, Dr. Festus Okubor, enumerated the importance of continuity as a legislator enjoining the delegation to enlighten other constituents on the benefits Hon. Victor Nwokolo’s re-election will bring to Ika land.
He appreciated the Clan Union for their endorsement, saying that it is a step in the right direction. Hon Victor Nwokolo accepting his endorsement by the Clan Union, affirmed that his re-election bid is to ensure that he attracts more development to his constituency.
He stated that he is elated by the endorsement, saying that he will continue working in the interest of his constituents.

Nwokolo, Chief Okibali Gilbert Omeleze, the Onu Eleme of Obiayima, Chief Okeh, the Ozomor of Abavo, Mr. Yuyu Samuel, Okibali Uku of Abavo Kingdom, Youth President, Vigilante Chairman, men, women and others too numerous to mention.
