In a swift reaction to the judgment of the High Court 4 Judges, Asaba, Hon. Justice F.N Azinge (Mrs) on Thursday, November 22, 2018, where she dismissed a case filed against the Obi of Abavo, His Royal Majesty King Uche Irenuma for lack of viable evidence thereby declaring him the authentic traditional ruler of Abavo Kingdom, the complainant, Prince Chukwuka Sunday Ekhator has stated that he is going to file an appeal against the judgment.
According to him, “After consultation with my lawyers, family members and a cross section of Abavo community, I have decided that I am going to file an appeal against the judgment for justice to prevail”.
Prince Ekhator while thanking the good people of Abavo Kingdom urged them to remain calm and assured that justice will take its course in the long run.
It could be recalled that Abavo royal throne has for 7 years been having challenges as the authenticity of King Irenuma ascendancy was challenged in court.
