ANTI-CULT INVADES HERDSMEN HIDEOUTS, RESCUE 3 KIDNAPPED VICTIMS

Combined teams of Ika Anti-Cult group has on Sunday October 18, 2020 invaded the hideouts of herdsmen abductors in a thick forest along railway line between Ute-Ogbeje and Ubulu-uku, in Aniocha South Local Government Area.

The Chairman of Anti-Cult, Galilee Division Ute-Ogbeje, Mr. Paul Ashor David said they were alerted of a kidnap case of woman and her daughter at Owa. He said with the supports of other members of anti-cult groups from other divisions that they swung into action and in search of the kidnapped victims that they invaded the hideouts of the hoodlum along railway line between Ute-Ogbeje and Ubulu-Uku where they exchanged gun shots.

According to him, “The herdsmen where over five in numbers armed with sophisticated weapons. We apprehended two and rescued three other kidnapped victims, the woman and her child, and another young man”.

Mr. David said the two arrested herdsmen abductors were immediately transferred to Police Headquarters, Asaba for further investigation.
