BESAN EXECUTIVE VISITS IKA SOUTH EDUCATION SECRETARY

The newly elected executive members of Basic Education Staff Association of Nigeria (BESAN), on Monday October 22, 2018, were at the office of the Executive Education Secretary, Local Government Education Authority, Ika South; Mr. Amino Imasua.

In a brief remark, Comrade Sunday Samuel, the Chairman of BESAN during the visit extolled the sterling qualities of the Executive Education Secretary, whom he described as a very good father to all mostly to teachers in the Primary Schools, saying that, he is like a Saint Chosen by God to help teachers in the field, with his constant advice. Continuing, he appreciated his boss for being instrumental to the Success of the last Nigeria Union of Teacher (NUT) election that was conducted in the Council area, which was highly applauded as free and fair. Speaking further Comrade Samuel said they were at the office in order for Mr. Amino Imasua to know them and to pledge their total support to him and also to assure him of their readiness in making impact towards improving the cordial relationship existing in the Primary education system. Welcoming them to his office, Mr. Amino Imasua, congratulated them for emerging victorious in the election. The urged them to be serious with their jobs as teachers, being the primary objective while they were employed. While encouraging them to always dress well as teachers, he admonished them not to have any rift or misunderstanding with their Head teachers because they are usually the persons to reckon with in the school, hence as teachers, people should take good counsel from them.

Continuing, he warned them not to do anything that will jeopardize their work, saying, that if there is any problem  in the school, they should report such to his office instead of having issues with the school management. Speaking further, Mr. Imasua solicited for their support and co-operations in enhancing the peaceful coexistence of teachers and its sustainability in the development of education within the council area. He also informed the BESAN executive about the resolution reached by the education authorities in the state, for teachers to have a formidable political forum which they will use as a platform to carry the teachers along in the re-election of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for a second tenure in the 2019 general election

The Executive Education Secretary encouraged his visitors to always plan ahead for the next NUT election so that any of their (BESAN) executive can contest for elective position.

(P.R.O. 1), Nwanne .W.O. (P.R.O.11), Ikoko .J. (Org. Secretary), Makanwa .P.R. (Provost Marshal), Nowehuelu .J. (Abavo Zonal Coordinator), Mrs. Ekwu .G. (Ekuku-Agbor coordinator) and Ailalobor .F.A. (Ihu-Ozomor coordinator).
