BISHOP ELUE CONFIRMS 275 CATHOLIC FAITHFUL

The Bishop of Issele-Uku Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Michael Odogwu Elue, on Pentecost Sunday, May 28th, 2023, conferred the sacrament of Confirmation on 275 Catholic faithful, at Saint John the Baptist Catholic church, Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
In his homily, the Bishop charged all to reject Satan and his empty promises, saying that Jesus Christ, is the King of the universe and that at the mention of His name every knee shall bow and everything tongue will proclaim that He is Lord.
According to him, “Every Christian is a beneficiary of the Holy Spirit, which was poured the on the apostles on the day of Pentecost, which made them spoke in foreign languages.

“Before the coming of the Holy Spirit, the apostles were afraid, but after the coming of the Holy Spirit, the apostles became fearless, vibrant, powerful and determined”, he said.
Continuing, the bishop called on Christians especially the newly confirmed Catholics to always invite the holy spirit to dwell in them as, to proclaim the word of God to the pagans.
The Parish Priest, Rev. Monsignor Dr. Peter Uzor, while introducing the candidates for confirmation, appreciated the bishop for finding time to visit and for strengthening the spirit of the young Catholic faithful, praying God to grant him journey mercies as he would return to Issele-Uku.
