Crowned on the 6th day of September, 1959 as the 17th Obi of Owa kingdom, Ika Weekly is particularly thrilled that your reign has gone beyond the kingdom to state and national levels.

A position you held and successfully completed your tenure without betraying those who entrusted such a privileged opportunity to you.
As the chairman of the Delta State Council of Traditional Rulers, you united traditional institutions in the state, interfaced with the state government and to the admiration of all stakeholders ensured that traditional rulers in the state were given their pride of place in the scheme of public leadership.
It is on this note that we celebrate you, our revered traditional monarch on this auspicious occasion of your 65th eventful and fruitful year on the throne. It is our prayer that God Almighty blesses you with good health of mind and body and furnishes you with excellent wisdom to continually lead the kingdom and subjects in the right direction.
