CHIJINDU DISTRIBUTES SCHOOL BAGS, EDUCATION MATERIALS TO PUPILS IN AKUMAZI

Pays Enrolment Fees for 57 Primary Six Pupils

As part of encouraging the academic activities of pupils in Akumazi Kingdom in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, the Councilor representing the wonderful people of Ward 7, Akumazi at Ika North East Legislative Arm, Hon. Chijindu Osaji, on Tuesday February 6, 2024, in company of some PDP executives of the Ward, distributed school bags and other writing materials to pupils of Umuocha Primary School and Akuma Primary School respectively.

Also, the joy of 57 Primary six pupils in the above-named Primary Schools knew no bounds as Hon. Chijindu paid for their fees in their forthcoming Primary six Cognitive/Placement Examinations.

The arrival of the Commissioner for Works (Rural Roads), Hon. Charles Aniagwu to Umuocha Primary School, added value to the exercise as he was taken round the compound of by the school management.

The pupils and teachers of the schools were truly excited and overwhelmed with joy as many of the pupils, were seen dancing and showering encomiums and words of prayer on the benefactor for his good deeds.

In their separate remarks at Umuocha Primary School and Akuma Primary School, the ward 7 PDP chairman, Mr. Anthony Bakwuye, and former Board Member, Delta State Rural Development Agency (RDA), Comr. Chukwuekwu Isioma Mathias, appreciated the school headmistresses, Comr. Mrs. F.N Nwanti and Mrs. Pat Aghanti for their good work in the schools since their arrival, saying that he is truly impressed with their excellent performances both in the schools and on the pupils.

He revealed that many head teachers have worked in both primary schools, but said both head teachers have proven to be the best among equals, urging them to continue with their good work.

Distributing the materials to the pupils amid cheers from the beneficiaries and authorities of both schools, the Councilor and majority leader in Ika North East Legislative Arm, Hon. Chijindu Osaji stated that he was determined within the limits of his resources to contribute to the educational wellbeing of the children, saying that he is poised to boost the educational standard of both schools.

He added that the gesture was his personal token contribution to the advancement of education in his ward.

Advising the pupils, Hon. Chijindu stated that as future leaders and hope of their fatherland, they must prioritize education at all times so as to enable them accomplish their goal in life, saying that education remains the bedrock of climbing the ladder of success.

While commending the teachers for impacting good morals and knowledge on the children, he urged them never to be tired of their good work on the pupils, saying that though teaching pupils remains one of the most difficult tasks in teaching profession, but said they must do their best for the children so as to be useful in the nearest future.

Hon. Chijindu specially lauded the PDP executives who accompanied and supported him during the exercise, saying that he is indeed grateful.

Responding, the headmistress of both Primary Schools, Comr. Mrs. F.N Nwanti and Mrs. Pat Aghanti, in their separate remarks, thanked the councilor for his sustained support, and the PDP executives for their assistance and encouragement.

The duo also applauded the Commissioner for Works (Rural Road), Hon. Charles Aniagwu for his unwavering support towards the growth and development of both primary schools, praying God to handsomely reward him for his good work in Akumazi.
