In recognition of his relentless effort/contribution to human capital development, Jerome-Mario Utomi, a social entrepreneur and a development communication practitioner was recently honoured with an award of Excellence by the Parish Priest, and the entire parishioners of St Kizito Catholic Church, Iju, and Lagos.
The award according to the church is in recognition of Jerome-Mario Utomi’s contribution towards the success of the just concluded skill acquisition programme organized by the church in conjunction with the National Directorate of Employment (NDE(- a programme that saw 262 parishioners graduating in different skills.READ ALSO :MISSING MAN IN AGBOR FOUND IN SHAGAMU
Born in Ubulu Okiti,, Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria, Jerome-Mario Chijioke Utomi is an alumnus of School of Media and Communication, Pan Atlantic University.
A prolific communicator, Jerome-Mario maintains a weekly column; The Hub with Ika Weekly Newspaper and other local and international news platforms.
Utomi is also a certified Project Manager of the Project Management Professionals (PMP) partners, London and an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (ANIPR), Associate, Chartered Institute of Supply Chain Management and currently, a student of the International Institute For Global Leadership (IIGL), United State of America, (USA) among others.
He has attended numerous Conferences, seminars and Workshops on Justice Development, anti-corruption/Human Right Protection, and Campaign on electoral reforms within and outside the country.
An active member of the Justice Development and Peace Centre (JDPC) in his Parish and the Lagos Catholic Archdiocese, Utomi is the Programme Coordinator, Media and Communication Committee in his parish, St. Michael Catholic Church, Ketu, Lagos.
He is married and the union is blessed with two lovely children.
