A middle-aged woman, a Health Assistant at the Central Hospital, Agbor, Mrs. Beatrice Oseji, nee Dele Ijeh has been murdered by suspected assassins. Mrs. Beatrice Oseji, who many described as a woman with a heart of gold met her untimely death at her residence along Egun Lane in Agbor on arrival from her night shift duty at the hospital on Monday, August 7, 2017. Speaking to Ika Weekly Newspaper, the brother of the deceased, Mr. Issac Ijeh said Mrs. Oseji was at his place three hours before her life was snuffed out on that fateful day.
Ika Weekly Newspaper reporters reliably gathered that the armed bandits had arrived the victim’s compound at the wee hours of the fateful day. They entered her apartment through the ceiling and waited patiently until her arrival before they carried out the evil act which was done successfully without the notice of neighbors in the compound. However, her corpse was later discovered when her only daughter (name withheld) who returned from school, opened the door and found her mother lying in a pool of her blood and thereafter raised alarm. Her corpse was found with machete cuts, irons and brick blocks which the assailants used in killing her.
The Second in Command of Agbor Police Headquarters, SP. Sylvester Igbo who confirmed the incident condemned the act. He said the police will do her investigation to unravel the mystery but assured that the criminals would not escape the long arm of the law.
All efforts to speak with the daughter of the deceased who found her mother in her pool blood proved abortive as she was said to be in hiding over death threats to her life by unknown hoodlums.
At the time of filing this report, the Police had begun their investigations to ascertain the actual cause of the death of the woman.
