Dein Remains Our King Till Tomorrow, We Love Him” CAC Dispel Rumours

Members of the Concerned Agbor Citizens has come down heavy on rumour mongers who were claiming that they are enemies of Agbor crown, as they reaffirmed their loyalty and love for His Royal Majesty, Dr. Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekuzi 1, the Dein of Agbor.

This was made known to newsmen during a press briefing on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at Stevenson Hotel and Suites along Benin Asaba Expressway, Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.

According to the CAC members, it is those who are not telling the king the truth that are the true enemies of Agbor, because they do not want the progress of Agbor.

CAC frowned at the attempt to label them enemies of the crown, as they hinted that, they are only concerned about preserving the cultural identity of the Agbor people.

Speaking further, they affirmed that no one, not even the CAC is targeting the throne, but that all they are asking for, is the promotion, and preservation of the Agbor culture, and traditions. “CAC is strongly committed to the development of Agbor kingdom, and not in anyway against the throne, all we are saying, is for our cultural heritage to be promoted and preserved,” they emphasized.

“As we speak, Dein is the only king we know, we do not have a factional king, the Dein remains our king even to tomorrow” they maintained.

Continuing, they urged Agbor indigenes to remain calm, and those concerned about their safety not to be bothered as they have what it takes to protect themselves if they feel threatened.

Members of the group condemned a statement accredited to one of the Chiefs who has boasted that he was waiting for the permission from the king to destroy houses or take life if the king grants it. They noted that such statement coming from a chief leaves much to be desired.

They hinted that there are legal means to take in the face of discrimination or intimidation from anyone, adding that Nigeria is a secular state.

They claimed that the 17 points raised by the Agbor Community Union which they inherited, is for the progress of Agbor as a kingdom, therefore, the group is not reneging on the pursuits of accomplishment of the 17 points.

They once again urged those concerned over their safety to remain calm and go about their normal business, because nothing would happen to them.

They hinted that the gods of the land knows those who are in the part of truth, saying that no deity kills the innocent, therefore, they are not perturbed over the recent development, where some traditionalists went round the town laying curses.
