Jan 17, 2018

A stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ika North-East local government of Delta State, Barr. Eugene Uzum, has called on Deltans to come out en masse to vote APC out of government in 2019 general election.

He stated this while responding to questions from journalists that observed the just concluded Local government election at the polling units of his hometown in Otolokpo.

Barr. Uzum who was optimistic that PDP would sweep the vote in his constituency and across the state, affirmed that the largest majority of the people in Delta State are for PDP, adding that with the attributes of the sitting governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the dividend of democracy is being witnessed.

Giving his observation on the election, Barr. Uzum who posited that the election was free and fair, also disclosed that few members of the opposition party decamped at the polls to cast their votes in favour of PDP having observed that almost all Otolokpo people believe in the course of PDP.

Speaking further, the Legal luminary who is the Executive Assistant on Orientation to governor Okowa, explained that Otolokpo people who came out in their large numbers to exercise their franchise are known to be peaceful, loving and law abiding citizens of Nigeria and have gone about the electoral process in such a peaceful way that is satisfactory to even the opposition, saying it is PDP all the way, “because that is their natural due to the fact that they understand and accept the concept of politics and the ideology of PDP”.

He continued “We are using this opportunity to extend the goodwill to all other wards across the state that we have a sitting, listening and performing governor in Delta state under the umbrella of PDP, and the maximum we can do is to give the party our support. I therefore urge Nigerians to emulate the good leadership of Senator (Dr.) Ifeanyi Okowa and come out in 2019 to dethrone APC in Abuja” Barr Uzum added.
