The State Government has affirmed its commitment to strengthen the primary health care service delivery in the State to ensure better health care for Deltans.
The Secretary to the State Government Hon. Festus Agas made the affirmation recently in Asaba when officials of the Delta State Primary Health Care Development Agency paid him a visit.
Hon. Agas said Governor Ifeanyi Okowa placed high premium on effective health care of Deltans and noted that primary Health care was a veritable tool for actualizing good health care delivery in the state.
He urged the officials of the Agency to always be proactive in dealing with matters concerning health care delivery and charged them to complement the Government effort in the health sector.
The Chairman of the Delta State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Dr Isioma Okobah in her address thanked the State Government for supporting the Agency in actualizing its programmes.
She appealed to the State Government for more utility vehicles for supervision and monitoring of the Agency’s programmes and activities across the State.
She also solicited the assistance of the State Government for a befitting office accommodation for the Agency’s foreign partners so as to ensure closer and better synergy in meeting the healthcare need of the people.
