He disclosed that the current Councilor is from Okpe Ward 10, and as such it is now the turn of the Ekwueze community to produce a candidate for Councillorship. He further noted that rumors have reached them that the Okpe community is intending to retain their candidate for the position.

He urged that for the two Wards to continue living in peace and mutual understanding, they (Okpe) should denounce their intention for peace to reign.

Speaking also another elder, noted that an arrangement which has been in place for a long time between the two communities is about to be eroded by the Okpe community of Ward 10, adding that for now, despite being a  rumor still has the element of  truth.

He admonished that if something of such should happen, the two communities should come together in an arrangement for peace to reign. He attributed the current issues political parties are facing to party leaders, who according to him would sit far away and determine the fate of the people.
