Faith and Hope Foundation, New Jersey in United State (US) founded by an Ika daughter, Mrs. Rachel Isibor has again put smiles on the faces of widows through the donation of food items.
The food distribution took place at Mrs. Isibor’s hometown community hall, Ute-Alohen in Ute-Okpu, Ika North East Local Government Area on Saturday July 25, 2020. The donation according to the foundation was the fulfillment of its mission to defend the cause of the fatherless and the widows through giving them food and clothing.
Testifying to the philanthropic gestures of Faith and Hope Foundation, one of the widows, Mrs. Irene Mordi who hails from Ute-Okpu said the Foundation had continually reached out to them. According to her, “Mrs. Rachel Isibor is someone who through her foundation God is using to bless us yearly. Our joy knows no bound over her care towards us. Words are not enough to express our gratitude, but one thing is that we owe our mummy, Mrs. Isibor, her household and the foundation prayers.
“Mummy Isibor is a good woman and one who eats to remembered the poor widow and the needy”.
Also responding, Mrs. Blessing Okoh described the founder and president of Faith and Hope Foundation, New Jersey as a noblewoman. She stated that Mrs. Isibor through her foundation has clothed and fed them, thereby giving them reason to always wear a smiling faces and be happy.

On her part, Mrs. Celestina Okoh who said she hails from Idumuesah thanked Mrs. Isibor for her love for the widows. According to her, “Isibor’s philanthropic gestures towards us mean a lot for the fact she does not want us to look tattered or go hunger. It’s my prayer that God will continue to uplift her and the Foundation”.
Mrs. Okoh while admonishing her fellow widows to maintain their dignity despite challenges of life, also used the opportunity to pray God to touch well to do individuals and groups in the area to remember them just as Mrs. Isibor done.
Also expressing her joy, Mrs. Edith Oselu who hails from Ekwuoma said on three occasions, she had benefited from the widow’s outreach of the Faith and Hope Foundation, thanking the founder, Mrs. Isibor for her unfailing love for them.
The delegates from the Ute-Alohen Development Committee, Pastor Benson Ehima, Chairman, Mr. Hezekiah Njoagwu, General Secretary and Mr. Nicholas Okubor, Treasurer who on behalf of the community monitored the food distribution lauded Mrs. Isibor, who they described as a true daughter of the soil.
Members of the Committee set up for the programme include Bright Njoagwu, Coordinator, Hezekiah Harrison, Agbele Onuwa, Hezekiah Destiny and Azagba Good luck.
