FELIX MORKA DRAGS PARTY, INEC, ALIKA TO COURT

Nov 24, 2018

Morka who was declared winner of the Primary by Barr. Ogheneluemu Sylvester Imonina  the returning officer who doubles as the State publicity Secretary of the Party, on the 5th of October 2018.

The Party chieftain accusing the party of illegality in short-changing him with Mr. Alika in order to appease Dr. Cairo Ojugbo who lost out of the Governorship ticket race of the APC, said he will fight for justice.

Briefing the Press on Thursday 22nd 2018 on the suit he filed against Monday Alika, APC and INEC, Barr. Morka declared that the Party has shot itself in the foot by denying him his right as the winner of the keenly contested Primary in favour of Monday Alika who he said was not present at the Primary  conducted at the Party’s secretariat, on the 5th day of October 2018.

Reading a 9 count charge filed at the Agbor High Court against the three defendants, Barr. Morka declared that Mr. Alika the first defendant was not a properly nominated candidate of the APC, the 2nd defendant to contest Ika South House of Assembly seat slated to hold in March 2019, having failed to comply with the provisions of electoral act 2010 as amended and the guide line of the Party guiding nomination of candidate.

Barr. Morka also filed an injunction directing Mr. Alika to stop parading himself as the candidate of the APC for the House of Assembly seat, noting that although Mr. Alika bought the expression of interest form for the Primary, he was absent and unrepresented at the designated venue of the Primary election, held at no 110 Baleke Street, the secretariat of the Party.

He alleged that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party has not only bridged the constitution of the party, but also that of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, stating that nobody is beyond the laws of Nigeria. He alluded that the submission of Mr. Alika by the NWC of the Party to INEC is an imposition, flaying the party for the act.

He stated that it is a case of illegality, lawlessness, arbitrariness, and severe unfairness perpetrated by the APC, in handling of Primaries for the DTHA, in Ika South Constituency.  As a result of the very serious bridge of the law, and constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, bridges of the electoral act, bridge of the APC guidelines for the conduct of Primaries, bridge of the party’s constitution, and every rule of natural justice and fairness, on the 21st of November, 2018, I filed a major lawsuit at the Delta State High Court of Justice, Agbor Judicial division between Felix Morka vs. three defendants.

He expressed disappointment over the conduct of the party founded on the change ideology, saying that he will fight back at the injustice and illegalities of the party, until justice takes its full course.
