HON VICTOR OKOH JOINS COMMITTEE OF FRIENDS INTERNATIONAL ABAVO

The Executive Chairman, Ika South Local Government Area has identified with members of Committee of Friends International, Abavo, a group made up of indigenes of Abavo Community.

Indicating his interest to join the group during the groups visit to him at Abavo recently, he said he is buoyed by the oneness displayed by the group in gathering sons and daughters of Abavo Community, home and abroad.

Speaking on behalf of the Committee of Friends International , the mayor Committee of Friends International Mike Okoh said they were grateful to God for making an Abavo man, the Chairman of the Council, he also appreciated all sons and daughters of Abavo extraction for coming out enmasse to vote their son.

Mayor Okoh thanked the entire people of Agbor Kingdom for ceding the position to them. He appealed to Hon. Victor Okoh to be fair at all times, when carrying out Ika South local government projects.

He said the unity and bond between Agbor and Abavo people is strong, urging Hon. Okoh to maintain such bonds. They concluded by praying for Gods strength and wisdom upon Hon. Victor Okoh so as to complement the efforts of the state government at the local government level.

Reassuring Committee of Friends International of his commitment to work tirelessly towards the development of Ika South, Hon. Okoh stated that he is open to accommodate everyone in the local government. He said he will take his time to map out plans to lift the Local Government forward and leave a legacy for the future.

Committee of Friends International urged him to see his office as the Executive Chairman as a mile stone, using the Executive Governors of Delta State and Rivers State, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, and Gov. Wike respectively who were once L.G Chairman, as a case study.
