The President-General, Agbor Community Union, Mr. Larry Onyeche has said he is the luckiest President-General since the inception  of Agbor Community Union, as he noted that it was during his tenure that an Agbor son was appointed  Governor  of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and during his time also, another Agbor son was appointed Chief of Defense Staff.

Mr. Larry Onyeche made this disclosure during the 50th annual congress of Agbor Community Union (ACU) held on Saturday April 3, 2021 at Agbor Community Town Hall Ime- Obi, Agbor Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.

The President General while reading his address, maintained that he is the luckiest PG since the inception of the union, as not only were two of Agbor sons appointed to head key positions at the national level, but also a lot of developmental projects have been carried out in Agbor kingdom.

He maintained that it is during his tenure that the position of President-General became attractive and enviable, saying that before now, nobody was interested in the position.

The community leader thanked God for His grace during the COVID -19 pandemic that ravaged the world, grounding all activities. But said in all, he thanked God for seeing Agbor people through it all.


He cited among his achievements, the successful review of the Unions constitution, the constitution of the youth wing of the association, improved communication network through social medium, establishment of an Army Command in Agbor, building of the Agbor Police Area Command, the upgrade of College of Education Agbor to University of Delta Agbor and others.

He highlighted the challenges of the body to include lack of funding, lack of vehicle for movement, as he appealed to the various communities that make up Agbor kingdom to pay their yearly dues while also calling on well-meaning sons and daughters of the kingdom to contribute meaningful to the growth and development of Agbor Kingdom.
