History was made at Owa-Alizomor Community in Ika Northeast Local Government Area of Delta State, as a 57 year old Cripple, Mr. John Chukwuka Okoh got married to a young lady for the first time in his life.
The Solemnization of Holy Matrimony between Mr. John Okoh of Iru Quarter, Owa-Alizomor and former Miss, Ada Miller of Owa-Alero Community, both of Ika Northeast, took place at Fellowship Baptist Church, Owa-Alizomor, on Sunday, April 4, 2021.
Joining the couple together as husband and wife, the Cleric in charge of the Fellowship Baptist Church, Owa-Alizomor, Pastor Benson Ejike, pointed out the scripture, says that he, who finds a good wife, finds a good thing and obtains favour from God. He therefore on this note, admonished the couple to always love each other saying that marriage as an ordained institution has no end until death comes.
Speaking further, the man of God mentioned some of the principles of a successful marriage which include; Love, Understanding, Honesty, Obedience, Endurance, Wisdom and Fear of God. He therefore advised the newly wedded couple and anyone who desires a successful matrimonial home to embrace the aforementioned principles.
He concluded by specifically urging the wife to always be submissive to her husband. He also urged the husband to always respect his wife so that that marriage will continue to be sweet and grow from strength to strength.
