The Dein of Agbor Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Benjamin Ikenchukwu Keagborekuzi had on Wednesday, February 9, 2019 spoken in support of Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the March 19, 2019 Governorship election.
The Dein of Agbor made this known when the governor with his entourage visited the Dein’s palace at Agbor, saying, “Barely few days from now, we will all march to the polls. It is essential we know where we belong before we march to the polls. I therefore admonish us that irrespective of our different political affiliations, we will only do ourselves good if we vote Okowa for a second term in office.
Though Ogboru is a good friend of mine, I still have to tell him the truth, we have to be fair to each other; Delta South had their two terms, Delta North supported them, Delta Central had their two terms, and Delta North also supported them, it is now time for them to also support Delta North for their two terms. I am not a PDP, APC, APGA or any other political party member. I do my best to give advice and help where I can, but what I have always said is that if there is a good man, I must stand by that good man, and Your Excellency, you are a wonderful man”.
SAM OBI, OKUBOR PLEAD FOR FORGIVENESS
While commending His Excellency for the myriads of projects he has done, the Dein of Agbor emphasized that the Governor deserved more than just being a governor, adding that he needs to be projected into the international community for his outstanding performance in Delta State. “As far as I am concerned, I will not allow you to rest, Your Excellency. You have to go further than just being a governor of Delta State. You should go for presidency come 2023. You are the type of politician that we need to project as a nation to the international community.
Once again, thank you so much for the myriads of projects you have done in Agbor. Thank you very much, Your Excellency! I will continue to say to anybody who has ears that this is the best governor in the country. I am not saying this because he is my son or friend, but because I have watched him for 19years and have seen that he remains the same constant, humble, strong and steadfast person I knew back then,” Dein of Agbor said.
