The Chairman, Ika North East Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Victor Ebonka has re-assured the good people of his local government of effective service, stating that he will not fail them.
He gave the assurance, while giving the Private Service Partners with the local government two weeks ultimatum to clear dirts in their allocated areas or revoke the license issued to them to operate. His words, “many residents have called, complaining of the failures of the PSP to empty their waste bins. Their reports have made me unhappy and I now see it as a hindrance to my government. This setback must be put to an end. All the PSP with the council must wake up to their responsibility. I will not accept any form of plea from any of the PSP whose license is retrieved because of its inactive performance”.
Hon. Ebonka further stated that no one will make him fail as council chairman, appealing to all those working with him to ensure that they do the expected or better still go off his government. He however, enjoined the Ika North East residents to keep their surroundings clean and report the failures of PSP in their areas.
The council chairman admonished the PSP to use serviceable vehicles as the topography of the area is not too motorable.
