IGP APPROVES NEW AREA COMMAND IN AGBOR

The hope for crime to be totally eradicated from Agbor kingdom is gradually coming to reality as the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Idris Ibrahim, has approved the creation of a new Police Area Command in Agbor.
The approval was made recently as part of the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force’s move to bring Police nearer to the grassroot.
Ika Weekly gathered that Agbor was among other two areas namely Ozoro and Sapele to be beneficiaries of the laudable development to be created to add to other existing ones in Delta State.
In acceptance to the development, members of Agbor Community Union, has expressively commenced the completion of the ultra modern Divisional Police Office in Agbor Police Headquarters which has been built and roofed by members of the Police Community Relation Committee (PCRC) under the leadership of Chief Darlington Edobor Igheghe.

According to the Acting President General of Agbor Community Union, Mr. Larry Onyeche, the union collaborating effort with the PCRC to ensure quick completion of the building is to decongest the Motor Traffic Division (MTD) in Agbor which has been mapped out for the creation of the new Area command.
Speaking further, Mr. Onyeche on behalf of Agbor Community Union, appreciated the IGP, saying that the recognition of Agbor to have an area command is a welcome development to ensure a crime free society.
He used the medium to appreciate well-meaning Agbor indigenes at home and in Diaspora who have contributed both financially and otherwise to ensure the Police Area Command is created and operational in Agbor.
