Comrade Ewere noted that youths think that the festival period is a time to engage in activities that are detrimental to their well being all in the name of celebration as he pointed out that nothing on earth is new and the Christmas and New Year Celebrations are not happening the first time neither is it going to be the last time.
The youth leader further urged the young ones to maintain decorum and be moderate in their activities adding that although he is not saying youths should not be merry, but should be careful and considerate in whatever they do.
He stressed the need for youths to live exemplary lives because they are the future leaders, adding that if the youths of today do not correct the mistakes of the elders, the future of the country would be bleak.
He maintained that the older generations were not opportune to be exposed to the modernity and knowledge that available today as the world is now a global village. Hence, and the young generation should use that advantage to better the society rather than using it negatively thereby tarnishing the image of the country.
He used the opportunity to wish Emuhu youths, a prosperous 2020 as he prayed that all who lived to see the beginning of the year 2019 would also by God’s special grace, see the end.
