Members of Ika Grammar School Class of ‘91 had on 28th of December 2019 held their annual general meeting where issues on how to contribute their quotas to their Alma Mater and give back to the society in general were deliberated.

Speaking during the meeting, the Chairman of the association, Mr. Augustine Onyero thanked all the members of the Union for finding time to attend the meeting. He appreciated God for preserving their lives to witness the great day, and prayed Him to continue to guide and protect every member of the association to enable them gather together in 2020 in like manner to celebrate His goodness and the achievements of the association.
Continuing, the Chairman encouraged members to always embrace activities that will help move the association to greater heights. He stressed that their top priority is to contribute to the growth and development of Ika Grammar School in particular and Ika nation in general.
In another development, Mr. Gabriel Ojije, a Mathematics teacher of the set, thanked the association for felicitating with him on his 80th birthday anniversary. In his words, “I have come to appreciate each and every one of you that came to join me and my family yesterday on the occasion of my 80th birthday anniversary. As your mathematics teacher, I want to advise you all to remain thankful to God and be committed to whatever will contribute to the growth of this association”.
Some of the executive include; the Vice Chairman, Mr. Eric Ojeh, Mr. Anthony Monye, Mr. Byron Okolo, Secretary; Mr. Patrick Obiora, Treasurer, Mr. Ewere Daniel Okwuokenye and PRO, Mr. Augustine Onyema while other members of the association include Mr. Benjamin Egbon, Pastor Godwin Osakwe, Mr. Kenneth Nwaomu, Mr. Paul Momodu, Mr. Lucky Anumodu, Mr. Roland Nwabuzor and Mr. Lucky Monye, a one time aspirant of the Delta State House of Assembly amongst others.
Issues on welfare of the members, cooperative/insurance for members, and the next executive election were discussed among other important arising matters.
Mr. Happy Osunde and Mr. Ewere Daniel Okwuokenye got awards for outstanding commitment and dedication to the association for their financial contributions and services respectively.
