Members of Ika Ladies Vanguard a socio cultural group of women from both local governments, Ika North East and Ika South, have called on Ika people to give Hon. Victor Nwokolo the mandate to represent them for a third term in office.
The call was made by the President of Ika Ladies Vanguard, Pastor Mrs. Edith Aleh during a chat with newsmen during the week.

Highlighting some achievements of the Member representing  Ika Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives to include: tarring of roads, building of health centers at Mbiri, Otolokpo, Abavo and Oza-nogogo, supply of transformer to Iregwa and Isede streets, Boji-Boji Agbor, supply of computers and solar energy to Ewuru Secondary schools, sponsoring of free medical mission, empowerment scheme, construction of school blocks across both local governments, employment of constituents amongst other achievements, the group expressed optimism that the third term of the lawmaker will yield more dividends of democracy in Ika land.
The group referred to Hon. Nwokolo as a silent and meek achiever who works silently and helps his constituents owing to his love for them, and not for the purpose of scoring political points. They explained that the third term of the lawmaker will enable him have a principal position at the House, which in turn will enable him spread his tentacles in carrying out more projects in Ika land. They reasoned that a third term will lead to better services to Ika land, disclosing that legislative duty is like the proverbial fine wine which gets better with time.
They pledged their unwavering support for the lawmaker, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, Sen. Peter Nwaoboshi, Hon. Tony Elekeokwuri, and Hon. Festus Okoh, declaring that the PDP will record total victory in Delta State. They urged Ika people to resist fake promises which cannot be met, stating the Hon. Nwokolo has done well and will do better when given the people’s mandate for a third term.
They reasoned that a winning team should not be changed, reasoning that the development being seen by Ika people in Ika land is as a result of the unity and cohesiveness between the governor of the state, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa and the elected office holders in Ika land.
Ika Ladies Vanguard further disclosed that the next four years is crucial to the development of Ika land, saying that development is guaranteed under the current set of elected officers. They further stated that the development of Ika land should not be gambled with.
In the same vein, they enjoined Ika people who are yet to claim their voters card to do so and calling on those who have theirs to keep it safe, referring to it as the weapon with which they will vote PDP en –mass come 2018.
