A renowned academician of Ika extraction, Professor S.E.N Okoh of the University of Benin was among the three eminent Nigerians that were on recently honoured by the Nigerian Economic Society, during the celebration of the 58th year of the Society. Professor S.E.N. Okoh, alongside the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II and Dr. Tony Elumelu, Chairman of United Bank for Africa (UBA) Plc were honoured having made tremendous contributions to the development of the Nigerian economy and finance.
The College of Fellows of the Society, made up of seasoned economists in Nigeria, led by Chief Dr. Phillip Asiodu, used the occasion to celebrate the 58th year which had the theme: “Imperatives of Industrialization in Nigeria.”
