As the 2019 general elections draw near, the leadership of Otu-Umunne\Delta Political Vanguard in Ika South Local Government Area has declared that Ika South is Fully PDP, saying that there is no room for opposition in the local government.

Making the declaration during their enlarged general meeting recently at the residence of Col. Ebomah Rtd., Pa. Nwagimejen noted that Ika South has always recorded massive votes.

He stated that they will come all out to ensure the same feat recorded at the 2015 general election and the Local Government election conducted earlier this year. He ascertained that Governor Okowa who has done creditably well in the last three years is worth a second tenure, positing that it has gone round other senatorial districts for two terms, hence Delta North will complete its two terms.

Emphasizing on the need the for Ika South people to vote massively for Gov. Okowa, Pa. Nwagimejen popularly called the ‘Guru’ listed some of the achievements of the Governor in the Local Government to include: construction of Oza nogogo road from Benin /Asaba express road (completed), construction of Orikeze Avenue (completed), construction of Ohumere road(completed), construction of Ogbemudein ring road ( completed), construction of Charles street( completed), construction of Whyte street/Upper Imudia street ( completed), construction of Abavo ring road( completed), construction of Obi Iduhon/Alidinma road( completed), construction of Queen street ( ongoing) ,construction of DDPA 1st street( ongoing), construction of Emefiele street(completed), restructuring and reconstruction of Agbor technical college with a 45KVA sound proof generator( completed), Abavo hospital (completed), Odeh street extension( completed), Idumuoza Alihagu oki road(ongoing), and others.

He declare that the era of appealing to elements of the opposition is over, saying that they will declare operation no mercy on any force or elements of opposition trying to impede the reelection of Gov. Okowa in 2019.

Col. Ebomah Rtd. encouraging members of the group, who are yet to collect their PVCs to do so, averred that they will surpass their records in previous election, expressed optimism that Governor Okowa’s re-election is a done deal. He also declared that they will reclaim power at the Federal level come 2019.

In the same vein, Hon Caroline Agbi, First member, Delta State Primary Health Care Board, ascertained that the giant strides of the governor are glaring to any objective Deltan whose judgment is not clouded by political bias. She opined that the giant stride of the governor in Ika South also extends to other Local governments in the state.

She urged the Party faithful to remain firm in the party, saying that Governor Okowa has done well. She posited that the governor’s developmental blueprints spread round all sectors, assuring that those yet to feel his impact will do so soon.

“Do not join those who want to blackmail the governor, because they are telling lies. We have every reason to say that Okowa has done well, do not be deceived by such propaganda, Okowa 2019 is sure by the grace if God, he has done well, let’s join hands to return him peacefully”, she appealed.

Hon. Godwin Ezedom, Prof. Joseph Alika and others who spoke in their separate remarks, affirmed that the Governor has done so much in Ika Land and across Delta State, assuring that his re-elected come 2019 is non-negotiable.
