IKA WEEKLY NEWSPAPER BROUGHT IKA LAND TO LIMELIGHT-Osabohien

An Abavo born and lover of Ika Weekly Newspaper, Mr. Andrew Hope Osabohien said that the place of the newspaper cannot be overemphasized in the development of Ika nation.
According to him, “The truth must be said that Ika Weekly Newspaper is a bone marrow that exposed Ika land globally. Even though I was living in Malaysia when the newspaper was birthed sometime in 2007, we received the news of its establishment with happiness and joy knowing that information is power.
“The birth of Ika Weekly remains one of the best things that has come to Ika nation uniting the people and bridging the information gap. I am a news lover and I wonder how Ika land would have been without Ika Weekly Newspaper in this modern day.

“In all, it gives me joy to go to a newsstand to find Ika Weekly Newspaper. I thank the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer/Publisher, Ika Weekly Newspaper, Mr. Steve Ekiri-Mekiriuwa Ashien for his initiative of the newspaper and I pray the good Lord to bless him”
Speaking further, Mr. Osabohien equally appreciated Chief Obi Emmanuel Melekwe, the man behind the establishment of Sleek FM, Owa-Ekei for joining Ika Weekly Newspaper in keeping the people abreast of happenings through the electronic medium.
“I want Ika people to learn to appreciate what they have by supporting the news media in Ika land to grow, and not looking down on them through paying more attention to other national news media.”
He also used the opportunity to appreciate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for not disappointing Ika people as the Governor of the State, declaring that Okowa will finish his two tenures very strong come May 29, 2023 and he will hand over to a man after his heart, Sherriff for continuity of good governance.
