JUSTICE ELUMEZE COMMISSIONS OWA-ALERO DISTRICT CUSTOMARY COURT

The President, Customary Court of Appeal, Asaba, Delta State, Hon. Justice P. O Elumeze, has Commissioned the District Customary Court, in Owa-Alero Community in Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State.
Commissioning he project, Hon. Justice P.O Elumeze appreciated His Excellency, Sen, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Governor of Delta State for ensuring that the Customary Court of Appeal is built in Owa-Alero Community.
She thanked members of Owa-Alero Community for providing the land for the State Government to build the court, assuring that by the special grace of God, the court and its facilities will serve the community better.
She encouraged the Staff of the newly commissioned Customary Court of Appeal to always be punctual to work and take all their responsibilities very serious.
She therefore appealed to the community Vigilante Group to always help to secure the court premises to avoid thieves coming to steal from the court.
Speaking earlier in a welcome address, the President General, Owa-Alero Development Union, Mr. Chris Eboh, specially thanked the Obi of Owa Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Emmanuel O. Efeizomor JP 11 OON, ably represented at the event by some of his Palace Chiefs, led by Chief Nkenchor C. Okwuokenye, the Ineh of Owa Kingdom, for his fatherly roles.
He thanked all Elders and members of Owa-Alero Community for donating the land where the court is built. He sincerely appreciated all members of the Owa-Alero Development Union for providing their Resource center for the customary court to be using since it was opened on the 28th day of April, 2022 in Owa-Alero Community.
While thanking the District Court President, Hon. Justice Patience Onuwa for her approval and indefatigable support towards the building of the court, Mr. Eboh thanked the State Government, led by Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, especially the Ministry of Housing for working assiduously to making the project a reality on time.
Chatting with Ika Weekly Newspaper Reporter shortly after the event, Chairman, People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Ika North-East, Rt. Hon. Chuks Agbomah, expressed gratitude to God using Governor Ifeanyi Okowa bless Deltans, describing the newly Commissioned court project as welcomed development to Owa Kingdom and Ika in general.
On his own part, Hon. Agbomah thanked Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa for building the court. He appreciated the Obi of Owa Kingdom, members of Owa-Alero Development Union and the entire Owa-Alero Community for the support in ensuring that the District Customary Court of Appeal’s permanent site came to Owa Kingdom.
