LET US SUSTAIN THE PEACE IN IKA NATION – Hon. Morris Nwadibie Urges

The newly elected leader of the Ika North East Local Government Legislative Arm, Hon. Morris Nwadibie, has called on the entire members of the communities in Ika Nation, to sustain the relative peace which they are enjoying in the area.

Hon. Morris Nwadibie, who also doubles as the councilor representing Ward 2A, Owa-Alero, made the call during an interactive session with newsmen, after the inaugural session of the legislators.

The leader of the 5th Assembly who was full of excitement thanked God for his new position; he also appreciated His Excellency Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, whom he referred to as a father and mentor for making it possible for him to be a councilor and for him to return for a second tenure

Continuing, Hon. Nwadibie, assured the people of Ika Nation an effective representation by members of the legislators whom he noted will do better than other set of councilors that have served in Ika North East, emphasizing that they will work in synergy with the chairman of the local government and the executive arm, to move the council to greater heights; while assuring that members of both the legislative and the executive arms are well prepared and will put hands on deck to do everything within their powers in ensuring that all is well in Ika North East Local Government Area.

When asked by the pressmen on measures which he already has in place to actualizing his dream of a better local government services to the people, Hon Morris Nwadibie responded that the economic recession being witnessed by the masses is not peculiar to be local government area alone, but a general problem, he however noted, “if you look around, you will discover that the economy is improving gradually, and we are really praying hard that this economy that has started improving will continue to improve”. The leader of the legislative arm was optimistic that if fund is made available to the council chairman, being a goal getter and a seasoned administrator, he is not going to relent in his power to make sure that the local government benefits several developmental strides.

Speaking further, Hon. Morris Nwadibie, enjoined members of Ika Nation to ensure that there is peace in the land, saying, “We have all it takes to have a peaceful atmosphere in our communities, hence I will sue for the peace which we are enjoying in the state and council to be sustained, for rapid development across the various clans of Ika Nation.

Finally, he appreciated the chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Delta State, Chief C. Esiso, Hon. (Barr.) Victor Ebonka, Hon. (Mrs.) Colina Anazia, Chief G. Ogadi, the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ika North East and all the members of the 5th Assembly of Ika North East legislative arm.
