MAMMOTH CROWD AS SEBASTINE FLAGS OFF WARD CAMPAIGN

With the campaigns for the 2019 general elections now in full swing, Mr. Sebastine Okoh, the All Progressives Congress candidate for the Ika Federal Constituency House of Representatives has flagged off his ward to ward campaign recently in Umunede, Ika North East LGA of Delta State.

The event which had become the talk of the town witnessed a mass turnout of enthusiastic party members and teaming supporters.  I AM NOT CAMPAIGNING FOR VOTES IN IKA LAND –OKOWA

Addressing the innumerable crowd, the Chairman, Sebastine Okoh Campaign Organization, Ward II, Umunede, Mr. Nwajei Sunday welcomed the party leaders to the event. He also commended the party members and supporters for their loyalty to the course.

He noted that peace has been restored to APC in Umunede, saying that there was no more wrangling. Mr. Sunday appealed to all to eschew any form of bickering and divisive rhetoric during the campaign and election period for the party to enjoy a landslide victory, urging party faithful and supporters to go to every household in their area to canvass for votes, assuring them that the people will be receptive to their message.

In his speech, Chief Barry Azubuike welcomed all and sundry to the event. He noted that with the large number in attendance, it was glaringly clear that Umunede has embraced the change agenda of Sebastine Okoh.

He added that the fear of Sebastine was the beginning of political wisdom, saying that since his emergence in the political race, many who see themselves as his rival has become apprehensive. Chief Azubuike stressed that in the past 20years, Umunede has been sidelined, deceived, neglected and marginalized, hinting that time had come to make serious change.

He affirmed that the youths in Umunede and Ika in general has keyed into Sebastine’s programme, charging all to preach the goodnews of Sebastine whom he said has brought succor to the masses. He appealed to those who were yet to collect their PVC to go to Agadagidi Civic Centre along Ekwuoma road and obtain theirs.

On his part, the Director General of Sebastine Okoh Campaign team, Dr. U.C. Anyahiwe thanked all who came to the event. He disclosed that any man who does not embrace change is not fit to live, describing such man as dead.

Dr. Anyahiwe stated that time has come for the people to move over to the land God has prepared for them, saying that those in opposition parties were yet to discern God’s light, describing them as people of Egypt. He described APC as a party of light, urging the people to vote for Sebastine, whom he said has immensely contributed in the growth of Umunede in particular and Ika nation in general. He added that the people were aware of these legendary contributions.

The Director General enjoined all to move into the nooks and crannies of the community and spread the good message of Sebastine Okoh, stressing that together, they will change the narrative.

Welcoming him to the podium with encomiums and thunderous ovation, Sebastine appreciated the crowd for their trust and support. He echoed that God has given them the mandate and no man would take it away from them, saying that Ika people have woken up and realized that they have been cheated and deceived over the years. He stated that time has come to choose leaders who have the fear of God and people’s interest at heart. In his words, “They have been deceiving us. They perpetually kept us in bondage which I described as being in Egypt. Time has come for us to leave Egypt and move over to the Promised Land. We have decided to come together as people of Ika nation for the purpose of change. I have come to serve the people to the fullest.”

Sebastine concluded that if elected into the Green Chamber, he would continue to carry them along and always be in their midst, assuring them of qualitative representation.
