The Mbiri monarch, His Royal Majesty Dr. Ifeanyichukwu Alekwe II, has expressed thanks to all his subjects for ensuring that the Saturday, February 23, 2019 general elections were peaceful, free and fair.
According to him, “My joy knows no bounds for the fact that there were no conflicts in the Presidential, Senatorial and House of Representatives elections. I appreciate my good people of Mbiri for abiding by my plea and warning that there should be no form of conflicts. I am happy that in all the polling units in my Kingdom that there was no record of conflict and the only response I received at the end of the election was that it was peaceful, successful, free and fair”.
Obi Alekwe while congratulating the winners stated that in every election there must be a winner and a loser. He used the opportunity to remind Ika people, Anioma people and Deltans as a whole of the task ahead to reelect the State governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for a second term on March 9, 2019 polls. He affirmed that the governor has done very well and that the only way to appreciate him for his good performance in the State is to reelect him, adding that one good turn deserves another.
