MICHAEL NDIDI EBIE NOW OGI FURU DEIN OF AGBOR KINGDOM

The Palace of the Dein of Kingdom was agog on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, as the monarch, His Royal Majesty Dr. Benjamin Keagborekuzi I, honoured six of his illustrious son, where a USA-based Aliokpu, Agbor born, Hon. Michael Ndidi Ebie was conferred with the prestigious chieftaincy title of Ogi Furu Dein. Hon. Chief Ebie has been an Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for a Commercial Bank in Texas, USA for over 23 years. Currently, he works in the regulatory sector as a Senior Anti-Money Laundering Specialist. He is a Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) with the responsibility of insuring that financial institutions have adequate anti-money laundering programmes in place that is designed to detect and prevent money laundering and terrorism financing. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and a Master’s Degree in Finance with many years of banking experience.
Responding to newsmen after his chieftaincy conferment, Chief Ebie said his joy knows no bounds, stating that Dein has bestowed an honour on him that has made him speechless and short of words to use to express his appreciation and how happy he is on this special day.
“I want to let the good people of Agbor Kingdom know that we are blessed with the best monarch in the world and so my appeal is that we should rally round him to bring his vision for us to fruition.
“Dein is a visionary monarch, and as many of us who have come close to him know that he mean very well for Agbor Kingdom. With joy in my heart, I say a big thank you to Dein, his Council of chiefs, and the good people of Agbor for finding me worthy of the honor”.
Speaking further, he said he is equally grateful to members of his family for standing by him all through the period.
Continuing, Chief Ebie said he does not blow his trumpet for what he can do for his people of Agbor, but said he will continue to do his very best for the good, growth, and development of the Kingdom.
