The family of Mr. and Mrs. Victor Mordi was blessed with “triple bundles of joy” on Thursday, 2nd of November 2017 at Central Hospital Agbor. The couple welcomed the triplet which came through a cesarean section, with the children and their mother all doing fine when visited at the hospital by an Ika Weekly Newspaper reporter, on Friday, 4th of November 2017.
Expressing their joy and gratitude to God, the couple who have been married for a year and a half could not hide how elated they are with the addition of a triplet to their family.
Mr. Mordi, a native of Aliagwu in Ika South Local Government Area, said that they never expected the triplet (two girls and a boy). He said: “we actually prayed for a child, but God decided to bless us with three children. I feel so great and I thank God for these wonderful gifts”.
On her part, Mrs. Queen Mordi expressed her joy, saying that though it wasn’t easy yet God saw them through. In her words, “I’m so happy because the journey that I would have passed through three times, God made me to pass through it once”. She said that they never expected it, adding that after one and a half years of marriage, they prayed for one child, but God gave them three.
Mr. Mordi, a graduate of B.S.C. Zoology from the University of Calabar who is currently unemployed used the privilege to appeal to the government and other well meaning Ika indigenes and Nigerians at large to assist him in taking care of the blessings God has given him, by giving him a job.
The couple encouraged those hoping for triplets to trust in God, saying that the God that gave them triplets even when they did not ask for it will surely give them theirs.
