NIGERIAN HUNTERS, FOREST SECURITY SERVICE IKA NORTH-EAST CHAPTER, INAUGURATED

Members of the Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service, Ika North-East Chapter, have been officially inaugurated.
Leader of the security outfit in Ika North-East, Division A, Comr. Victor Philip and his members were inaugurated on Friday, June 2 2023 at their Secretariat, located along Owa-Ekei Road by Johnson Igweh Street, Boji-Boji, Owa, Delta State.
Speaking in an inaugural speech, Delta State Commander, Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service, Amb. Dr. Chief, ACG Jonathan Obokohwoemu, ablely represented by Osawota Joseph Kehinde ACG, from the group’s Transport and Traffic National Headquarters, (NHFSS), congratulated the Ika North-East newly inaugurated members on the occasion of the official opening of their Secretariat. He advised them not to use their uniforms to do okada business or any other businesses except the security work for which their inauguration is taking place. He said their aim of being inaugurated is to assist the police and other security agencies in ensuring that criminal activities are put to an end, to protect the people’s lives and their properties.
He also encouraged them not to take laws into their hands, but rather, they should be law-abiding, respect other security agencies and to above all, always notify the Divisional Police Officer, (DPO) in their respective zones whenever they are embarking on any operation.
He noted that the security outfit is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, (CAC) and signed by the National Assembly, Abuja to operate as one of the security outfits in Nigeria.
Speaking in a brief exhortation, Arch. Dr. Igho Onovaghe enjoined the people to read the book Psalm 23 1-3 where he admonished them to always believe in God as He is their Shepherd and protector.
The man of God, having explained to the group, all the that, Psalm 23 1-3, says about the life of those who put their trust in God, charged them to always know that the very first day they start wearing their security uniforms, is the day many people will start seeing them as enemies.
He on this note, encouraged them not to be carried away with their uniforms and the sophisticated arms they will carry. He prayed God to continue to guide them and give them wisdom as they look forward to carrying out their duties effectively.
Speaking with Ika Weekly Newspaper Reporter shortly after the event, the Commandant, Ika North-East Local Government Area, Division A, Comr. Victor Philip, on behalf of his group members, gave thanks to God for making the day a reality.
Speaking further, Comr. Victor Philip, promised to use his good position as the head of Nigerian Hunters and Forest Security Service, Ika North-East Chapter, bring more progress to Ika nation by ensuring that insecurity issues in the areas are reduced to its barest minimum.
He appreciated Osawota Joseph Kehinde ACG, Arch. Dr. Igho Onovaghe, Engr. Franklin Osondu, Mr. Kenneth Ochuko, Comr. Ola Ayotunde Francis and others for finding time to grace the occasion.
