NO PROPHECY CAN WORK AGAINST OKOWA – Chuks Emuebie

Jan 22, 2018
GOVERNOR IFEANYI OKOWA

Sequel to a “Prophecy of the Year” by Apostle Monye as published on our first edition of the year, Hon. Chuks Emuebie, Chairman of the Bridge Builders has stated that no prophecy can stop the re-election of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, come 2019.

Hon. Emubie stated this during the week while reacting to the “prophecy” by the clergyman which stated that 2019 general elections in Delta State shall turn against PDP.

2018 PROPHECIES: I SAW 2019 GENERAL ELECTIONS IN DELTA STATE TURNING AGAINST PDP – Apostle Monye

Countering the “prophecy”, he said, “When God sent Prophet Isaiah (Isaiah 38: 1-5) to Hezekiah to inform him to put his house in order that his life was over, that he would die and not live. Though Hezekiah wept, yet he reminded God that he had done His work perfectly well without disobeying God. He turned his face towards the wall, and prayed unto the LORD, and said, “remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with a perfect heart and have done that which is good in thy sight.” And Hezekiah wept sore. Then came the word of the LORD to Prophet Isaiah saying, “Go, and say to Hezekiah, thus said the LORD, the God of David thy Father, has heard thy prayer, I have seen thy tears, behold I will add unto thy days, 15 years.

Just like God sent Prophet Isaiah back to Hezekiah adding more 15 years to his life, so will God add tenure to Dr. Okowa’s tenure.

When God sent Jeremiah to take a lesson from the potter, in Jeremiah 18:8, the LORD said, “if that Nation against whom I have pronounced, turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do unto them”.

I am not saying that the prophecies are true or false but I stand to declare that it shall not manifest but we must pray and continue to pray for God’s hand to continue to be on our Governor”, he said.

Hon. Emeubie added that God can amend, and that who God has blessed no man can curse, as is the Case of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

In a similar development, Hon. Emuebie also addressed Apostle Chuks Elisha Okenye’s prophecy which alluded that there will be great conflict in Ika Land over House of Representatives position, saying that, that also will not manifest.

Responding, Hon. Emuebie explained that the position of House of Representatives has never caused any conflict in Ika Federal Constituency and it was never zoned.  He said that the best, at every particular time emerges as the candidate, invariably the Representative.

In his words, “Attention was never paid to which Local Government produces the person, but attention was paid to how qualified and competent a person is.

Giving a roll call of past representatives to include ;  Hon. Ebegbodi, from Agbor-Alidinma, Ika South, Hon. Iduwe, Ime-Obi,  Ika South, Hon. Ogbodu, Abavo Ika South,  Hon. Emeye, Ime-Obi, Hon. Nduka Irabor, Owa-Oyibu,  Ika North East, Hon. Cairo Ojougboh, Alihami, Ika South, Hon. Doris Uboh, Ika South, Hon. Victor Nwokolo, Igbodo, Ika Norh East, he said that of these nine times, Ika South had Six (6) slots while Ika North East had just three (3) slots.  Explaining further, he stated that if they are to pay attention to which local government is entitled to go next, based on the number of slots, they will be missing the point.

THERE WILL BE GREAT CONFLICT IN IKA LAND OVER HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVE POSITION – Baba Fire

Hon. Emuebie further revealed that he has watched people like Hon. Nkeru, Hon. Leo Ogor, and Hon. Nicholas Mutu etc. of the House of Representatives become more vibrant by the day as a result of the fact that they have acquired experience overtime, also for the fact that they are not first time or second time comers. Giving instances, he said it is clear that no fresh student can become a senior prefect of a school; it is reserved for old students. Also, Principal positions at the House of Representatives are left for older hands and not for new comers. The longer term our Representatives serve, the better for Ika people, so as to attract a Principal Position, which will help them attract more projects to Ika land.

In conclusion, he stated that the constitutional provision does not stipulate how many tenures a legislator can serve because they believe that the more they go, the more they learn.

“Not minding this, the party through its constitution has a procedure through its internal democracy to pick who represents the party though they do not have the final say as the people of Ika Nation have the final say and the opportunity to pick their representative by voting for the right person at the General Election, irrespective of fresh or old hand.
