NO PROTEST IN IKA SOUTH-Council Boss Warns Saboteurs

Following an intelligence report of a planned protest by someone disgruntled groups within Ika metropolis, the chairman of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Evang. Sunny Tatabuzogwu, through the secretary to the local government council, Mr. Aluge-Obia Kainji, has requested security agencies to deploy its personnel to strategic locations, within the local government in other to prevent the protest from taking place.

The chairman noted that the planned protest which he said is baseless, is motivated by saboteurs, saying that the protest will only destabilize the peace and economic activities of the people, warning that should anyone is caught carrying out any form of protest, such an individual will face the wrath of the law.

 

The communique signed by the Secretary to the Local Government Council, Mr. Kainji, on behalf of the Council Boss, Hon. Tatabuzogwu reads;

SECURITY ALERT

“1 am directed to refer to the above subject and to inform you of intelligence report at the disposal of the Hon. Chairman, detailing planned protest by some disgruntled groups within Ika South Local Government Area.

“The planned protest has no basis rather, it is politically motivated by the fifth columnists, to destabilize the peace and economic activities of the city.

“Sequel to the above, the Honourable Chairman has requested security agencies to deploy its personnel to strategic locations within and around Ika South Local Government Area, to protect law abiding citizens, government facilities and critical infrastructure.

“1 am to further add that any guise of protest either peaceful or otherwise is hereby banned in Ika South Local Government Area”.
