Speaking, the Provost appreciated the Governor of Delta State, His Excellency, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for giving him the opportunity to serve, saying that without the opportunity, he would not have been able to achieve and contribute the much he has done as the Provost of the institution.
He also expressed gratitude to God Almighty and to the staff of the institution for their supports and encouragements which has gone a long way to spur him to achieving higher feats.
He further stated that since he came on board, it has been one success story to another, revealing that as at the time he became the Provost, some courses in National Certification in Education (NCE) of the College were not registered until he embarked on a massive drive in 2015 to ensure that all courses were accredited which he said, he has succeeded in doing as all the courses now offered in the College in degree programme are all now accredited.
He however, thanked the Governor for providing the manpower and infrastructure that made the accreditation a success, saying that there are now 137 Ph.D holders in the school; a feat he said is uncommon. He maintained that no College of Education in the country except the College of Education, Agbor that has achieved such feat.
Dr. Ukadike attributed his driving force and determination to do the needful and give his best to his immediate environment and humanity, saying that he desires to be remembered for honesty, doggedness in pursuing his goals and achieving rare feats.
Continuing, he revealed his detest for sordid wealth and that his desire is not to amass wealth but to contribute his best for posterity, saying that he is contented with the much God has given him.
Also speaking to newsmen, the Director of Degree Programme, Dr. (Mrs.) Laura Omumu expressed joy over the achievement of the school in acquiring full accreditation of courses offered in the school, maintaining that what was required for such feat was on ground, coupled with the doggedness of the Provost which has made the achievements possible.
She however, urged the students to be more dedicated in their studentship as the enabling environment and all that is required for their learning has been put in place.
