Members of the Nigerian Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE) led by Comrade Corliss Azikiwe recently held a one day prayer session to pray against forces of darkness delaying the payment of their salaries. The theme of the prayer which took place at the Local Government Council at Owa-Oyibu was, “God Will Hear our Cry”.
Also speaking, Pastor Eugene Onyekeosuor enjoined the congregation to read the book of Psalm 90 verse I, where he directed the Christians to pray to God who has been their dwelling place in all generations He also admonished them to pray against, any evil force delaying their unpaid salaries; He stressed that with God, nothing is impossible on earth, adding that all the local governments in Nigeria need to work together towards getting their autonomy from the state government as prayers and total commitments to God works.
Other pastors who led the prayer include; Pastor Solomon Akaibe, Pastor Godfrey Mordi and Pastor Daniel Nwokoro. In a separate remark, they admonished NULGE staff to pray against any terminal disease the devil has deposited in their body and against every forces of darkness militating against the progress of the entire local government areas in Nigeria. They concluded by advising Christians to always pray for the Nigerian government particularly president Muhammadu Buhari and all governors that God should give them the strength, wisdom and understanding to rule Nigeria and remember the local government workers in the country.
