John Nwagimejie who briefly highlighted on his visit to late Humphrey Iweriebon in 2006 over a purported rotational arrangement of house of representatives position between Ika North and South, said he  made it clear out right to the late political icon that such arrangement could not have been made without his involvement and therefore, it was nonexistent as far as Ika South was concerned. He enjoined the stakeholders to be mindful of the fact that the People’s Democratic Party has a leader who deserves to be respected. Accordingly, it is imperative in the best interest of Ika South to adopt negotiation as a political tool.

In his response, Barr Victor Nwokolo said he was not in the gathering to tell the people he is the best man for the office he is seeking re-election for but solicit for the stakeholders’ support in the forthcoming primary. According to him,  despite being in politics, he was nurtured in accordance with the biblical admonition of Christ that enjoins Christians not to be like the Pharisees who go about disclosing their givings unto the needy.
