State Chairman, NYCN, Amb. Kenneth Okorie has reiterated the council’s commitment to host the Voter’s Sensitization And Town Hall Meeting Across The State.
Okorie said this while requesting for Media Partnership with Ika Weekly Publisher, Elder Steve Ekiri-Mekiriuwa Ashien at his office in Agbor metropolis on October 17th, 2022.
According to him, engaging candidates will stimulate performance. As no society can thrive without robust relationship between the political officer holders and the people.
“Ika federal constituency will be the first, and it will be at Vocational Skill Centre Hall, opposite VIO office, GRA – Agbor.
He stated, “That the formal venue, Ika National Hall will not be the venue for the event, saying that the date is 28th of October 2022 and the time is 12:00noon prompt”
While responding, Mr. Ashien thanked the member for daring to kick-start a vision that will benefit all, but with a soul responding question “Are the youths ready”.
He stated issues eating the society that are geared by youths. Sharing experiences of the yester-years of Nigeria, which himself was a beneficiary.
He explained how the youths can be part of a better future, through voluntary involvement in the electoral process that is not money oriented.
The state program officer, Comr. Amb. Lucky Omorogie while presenting the letter of partnership, appreciated Ashien for accepting to join the youth in Delta state to write history.
“Today, we are using this medium to also inform all parties and their candidates in Ika Federal Constituency to be available on October 28th, 2022 at Vocational Skill Centre, opposite VIO office – GRA, Agbor.
“Letters are out to parties and candidates of A, AA, ADC, APC, APGA, APM, APP, LP, NNPP, NRM, PDP and SDP.”
