Emuhu Community in Ika South local government area has lost the oldest woman in the community, Mrs. Veronica Efe Iduh, nee Adagbon to the cold hands of death.
The late Mrs. Iduh who was fondly called “Nne Oyibo” died at the age of 115 on July 3, 2018. She is the mother to the Majority Leader, Ika South Local Government Area, Hon. Lucky Iduh.
In a chat with Ika Weekly Newspaper Reporter, Hon. Lucky Iduh, gave thanks to God Almighty for the good life his later mother lived while on earth. His words, “Nne as I fondly called her spent quality time with her children before joining her ancestors. She was hail and healthy the day of her death. She woke up on that fateful day and took her bath which had been her usual practice, but refused to take her breakfast and returned to bed. It was at about 10am when my immediate elder brother went to give her the food that he discovered that mama was no more,” he said.
He stated that the Iduh family takes solace from the fact that their late mother lived a life worthy of emulation.
