Oct 21, 2017
The abducted baby, Miss Nancy Chinaza Benjamin

Agony, torment and frustration are the words to describe the mood of the Benjamin’s family of Alihami Community in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State owing to the fact that their only child, Miss Nancy Chinaza Benjamin has been abducted.
Nancy who is just one-year and two months old was said to have been abducted on Sunday, October 15, 2017, by two ladies who patronize her mother’s provision store along Sakpoba road in Alihami community.
One of the family members, Mr. Acha Godfrey, who confirmed the news to Ika Weekly Newspaper, said the abduction of the child was done in pretense.
According to him, “few days before the incident, the two ladies approached my sister, Mrs. Magdalene Benjamin, at her provision store asking for a vacant apartment for them to rent but she responded that she had no knowledge of any within her location as she was not an agent. Few hours later, the ladies returned to inform her that they had secured one nearby and from that moment they started coming to her store to patronize her and would always like to spend time and also play with the child before they would leave. My sister never suspected them hence, did not care to ask them where they were from neither did she exchange contact with them. Out of trust, she allowed them to play with Nancy, who is just one-year and two months old until the unexpected happened”.
“That day, one of the ladies carried the child on her back to accompany her partner to purchase food at a nearby canteen, and it was then they took advantage of this to take the baby away and never returned till date and we have reported to the police.”
He therefore appealed to the general public with useful information to contact them on the following numbers; 08033817358, 07030444145 or report to the nearest police station.
