At the plenary meeting of Otu Onyeoghani of Agbor held at the residence of the President-General, the Osagwe of Agbor Kingdom, Chief Philip Igumbor, on February 10, 2019, members reviewed the outrageous and inhuman action of Friday Eluro against an Abavo indigene identified as, Ada.
The Association in its entirety condemned the inhuman and barbaric treatment meted on the woman by the said Friday Eluro. COMMENCING LANGUAGE EXTINCTION WITH HUMAN NAMES
The Association is also in agreement with the measures taken so far against the barbaric action of Friday Eluro particularly:
- The Governor’s action withdrawing his appointment as Special Assistant, on Intelligence Gathering.
- The withdrawal of Friday Eluro’s Chieftaincy title by His Royal Majesty Dr Emmanuel O.Efeizomor 11, J.P, the Obi of Owa Kingdom.
- The resolve by Onu Ika Nigeria to seek legal redress through the International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), Delta State Branch.
The Association is also highly pleased with the various responses and reactions by various individuals and organizations including the reactions of Ika National Association, U S A and Ika Community, USA.
Otu Onyeoghani is glad to hear that the said Friday Eluro has been arrested and currently, in the custody of the law enforcement agency.
The prayer of this association is that all due legal processes be taken for thorough investigations of the action of Friday Eluro and his accomplices in this matter and where necessary, the highest punishment according to the Law, should be meted out on to him and his accomplices.
This Association is hereby giving the undertaking to monitor the development in this case.
