An Owa-Alizomor born retired Divisional Crime Officer (DCO), and Legal Adviser to Vigilante Group in Owa-Alizomor community in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Emmanuel Owa has applauded members of Community Police, known as “Vigilante Group in the local government and used the medium to advise youths to desist from criminal activities. These commendations were made by the retired police officer during the week in an interview with newsmen.
Speaking further, Mr. Owa said that he has been very glad the way the vigilante group in his community, Owa-Alizomor in particular and Ika NorthEast Local Government in general are supporting the police and other security agencies in the local government to fight against criminal activities like robbery and cultism.
He encouraged them to continue the way they have been working and never to relent in their efforts of being supportive to growth and development of Ika nation and Delta State at large. He therefore advised youths in the local government to desist from in-takes of hard drugs like Codine, Tramadol, S.K and other dangerous drugs that push them into committing crime. He advised that the youths should look for something good and lucrative occupations to do, instead of involving themselves with criminal acts which he described as inimical to growth and development of any given society.
