The Obi of Owa Kingdom and Chairman, Delta State Traditional Rulers Council, His Royal Majesty Dr. Emmanuel Efeizomor JP on Wednesday, September 6, 2107 clocked 58 years on the throne. He made this known during the prayer summit organized by the Obi and Owa-Alero Christian Association to officially commit the newly completed Owa-Alero modern market built by the Delta State Government into God’s hand.
In his words, “I am 58 years on the throne of my forefathers today, Wednesday, September 6. I choose to share this joy of my reign with my subjects in Owa-Alero so they can join me in thanksgiving to God for all His goodness done to Owa people. Truly, God has favoured us in a different way. With joyful heart, I thank God for preserving my life to see all the good things coming to Owa land. I want everyone at the prayer ground to join me in thanksgiving to God and ask for more of his grace upon our son, the governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa who through his good office built a gigantic modern market”.
Obi Efeizomor called on all traders in the community to make good use of the market when finally commissioned for use and not to abandon the market and be trading along the road side. He prayed God to prosper everyone who will come and trade in the newly built market.
Addressing the gathering, the chairman of Owa-Alero Christian Association, Ven. Pat Okoh Rtd, welcome all present at the prayer summit. He said their gathering was to officially commit the new market to God’s hand through prayers, saying only on that ground will the business activities in the market prosper. He thanked Obi Efeizomor for his support and prayed God to grant him good health and long life.
Apostle Peter Kebokwu who led the prayer session, admonished the Owa-Alero people on the message he titled, “Enough is enough”, where he reminded them on the supremacy of God. He enjoined them to flee from idol worship and hold steadfast with God who he said gave them all the good things that they are celebrating. He explained that their gathering in thanksgiving will mark another turn around for more good things to come to Owa land.
