It was all joy amidst thanksgiving and praises to the Almighty God as Pastor Peter Ehianu Ayetin of Owa-Nta Community in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State, was joined by family members and friends as he celebrates his 80th Birthday and 50 years Anniversary at Living Messiah Deliverance Mission Headquarters, 86 Tete Street, Boji-Boji Owa.
Pastor Ehianu, a retired teacher with merit grade served meritoriously before he successfully retired many years ago. At 80, Pastor Ehianu was described by many as an elder statesman, consummate family man, successful teacher, and a devoted Christian. They congratulated and wished him many more years of blissful celebrations.
According to Pastor Ehianu “I feel great and fulfilled being alive in good health to witness my 80th birthday. I thank the Almighty God for his grace, guidance and wisdom upon my life all these years. But for God, I would not have been alive today. It has not been easy but God has been on my side. I gave my life to God in 1972 and since then, He has not abandoned me. Since 1972 no doctor has eaten my money because God has been with me. I have eleven children (4 males and 7 females) in all I have 6 graduates and they are all doing well by the grace of God. I worked and retired meritoriously as a teacher with merit grade. There were challenging times I had serious difficulties like the period I and my son had an accident when a vehicle crushed our own car along Abavo Road but nothing happen to us and the period I almost killed a child who ran into my car when I was driving but she later survived it. In all God has been good to me and my family members, I will forever remain grateful to Him. I will worship Him forever. I thank all the people, particularly my children, who came to join me to thank God and also celebrate with me on my 80th birthday.
The eldest Son of the celebrant and a senior lecturer, University of Benin-City, Prof. Dr. Dickson Ehianu, in an interview, described his father as lovely and caring, saying his father worked relentlessly just to make sure that himself and his siblings were educated. He expressed gratitude to God for the love He has for his family, even as he thanked all those who came from far and near to celebrate with them, wishing them well in all their life endurances.
Reception took place after the thanksgiving service at the family compound of Pastor Ehianu at No. 94 Abraka Road/Ayetin Street, Boji-Boji Owa. All who were present at the reception venue were lavishly entertained.
