The Executive Assistant to the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa on Political Matters, Chief Rotarian Peter Idion, the newly-installed Adorlor-Dein of Agbor kingdom, has acknowledged and appreciated the honour, Dein of Agbor Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekuzi I, has bestowed on him.
Chief Rotarian Idion was on Saturday, April 15th 2023, conferred with the Chieftaincy title of Adorlor-Dein, alongside eleven others, at the Dein’s palace, in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State. The occasion was massively attended by family members of the Chieftaincy title recipients, friends and well-wishers from within Delta State and in Diaspora.

In an interview with our correspondent, the newly installed chief who was full of excitement, applauded the great king of the ancient Agbor kingdom  for honouring him, saying that it is a great opportunity to be associated with the king, maintaining that his joy was overwhelming.
According to the Adorlor-Dein, “Indeed, Baba, the Dein, has honored me with a new name and I pray the good Lord to equally honour him with good health, wisdom and long life to continue to reign peacefully on the throne of his ancestors.
“I appreciate my king, His Royal Majesty Dr. Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekuzi I (CON), Dein of Agbor Kingdom. Baba Doo Dein! Doo Dein!! Doo Dein!!! Baba Nitor neyin fe.
“I am extremely excited and grateful to you for finding me worthy of the great honour you bestowed on me.
“Baba, I assure you that I will use my wealth of ingenuity to the best of my ability to project Agbor Kingdom. Long May you reign my great king. Baba, Iyare! Iyare!! Iyare !!!”.
Continuing, described Dein as an advocate of selflessness, maintaining that as a King, he has made Agbor kingdom peaceful and investor-friendly since he ascended the ageless throne of his forefathers
In his words, “There is no doubt that Dein, has provided purposeful, courageous and tenacious leadership for the Agbor people over the years and as such deserves an applause. His contributions towards addressing the issue of preservation of cultural heritage, has further united the people.
“As an educationist and someone who loves progress and orderliness, he is open to ideas and new innovations. I pray God to grant me the wisdom to be of great assistance to him as to usher in more development, contribute in peace building and unity in the land.
“On this note, I call on my fellow Chiefs to be truthful in all their dealings in matters that will promote the integrity of the kingdom,” he said.
He appreciated family members, political associates, friends and well-wishers who shared in his joy, praying God to grant them their heart desires.
